The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 and Surface 2 are official, and while Microsoft touted the usability and performance of the new machines, no doubt in a bid to woo consumers, it doesn’t mean that Microsoft has taken its eyes off the enterprise.
By addressing issues with the display, kickstand angles, performance, and battery life, users might be more likely to bring their Surface tablet into the office, at least that’s the hope, and as TechnologyGuide sister site SearchConsumerization noted, it could also force IT departments to consider Windows 8 adoption.
Sound like a pipe dream? Maybe it is. But to sweeten the deal for users, Microsoft is including 200GB of SkyDrive storage for two years as well as free international calling and Wi-Fi hotspot access with Skype for one year after purchase.
