Amazon has announced a new feature added to its Cloud service that integrates File Sync into a desktop app, which allows users to store and access files in the Amazon Cloud from a folder on their computer.
The new desktop Cloud Drive app for Windows and Mac will automatically store files in the designated folder in Cloud Drive, allowing those files to easily be accessed from a computer or the web. Users may install the app on a second computer and all their synced files will be available there as well.
Cloud Drive is also compatible with Kindle Fire. Documents and photos stored in Cloud Drive are automatically synced to their designated libraries within Kindle Fire. Consumers who use Amazon Cloud Drive get 5GB of storage for free and can purchase additional storage if needed.
