UPDATE: Read our Apple iPad (3rd Generation) First Look!
Apple has officially announced that the next-generation iPad (dubbed the iPad 3) will be unveiled tomorrow, March 7. The unveiling event will take place at 10 a.m. PST at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. Apple sent the following invitation (pictured below) to notify people of the highly anticipated event.
So what do we know so far?
We know that it was time for Apple to more forward, hardware-wise. The iPad 2 has a (soon to be) outdated dual-core processor and lower 1024 x 768 display. Not only that, but competitors already have fast quad-core tablets with higher resolutions screens on the market. Lower-priced Android tablets are also doing well, taking away from Apple\’s market share.
