Kindle First, a new program from Amazon, will allow customers to read new books a month before their official release date, and Prime members will be getting titles for free.
Amazon Publishing editors will choose four titles from popular categories a month before their publication date. Customers can then purchase the eBook titles for a discounted price of $1.99, while Prime members get to download them for free. Even without an Amazon Prime account, the Kindle First service is free – besides the cost of the book – and users can sign up starting today.
The introductory titles offered through Kindle First are Things We Set on Fire by Deborah Reed, No Place for a Dame by Connie Brockwway, Silent Echo, by J.R. Rain; and We Will Survive: Tue Stories for Encouragement, Inspiration, and the Power of Song, by Gloria Gaynor.
