Samsung co-CEO Shin Jong-kyun believes sales of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will pass the 10 million mark as soon as next week. As reported by the Korea Times, Jong-kyun told Seoul reporters on Thursday that the company is \”confident\” that it will pass 10 million S4 sales next week, making the new phone the fastest-selling in Samsung\’s history.
“Samsung spent 50 days to pass the 10 million sales mark for the S3. The S4 will be Samsung’s first \’10 million seller’ device less than a month after its official debut,” he added.
Samsung declined TechnologyGuide\’s request for further comment on Jong-kyun\’s statements.
The Galaxy S4 first launched in Korea on April 26 and is currently available in 60 countries worldwide. It\’s out on multiple carriers in the United States, where it has been on sale since April 27. In its review of the device, TechnologyGuide said that the Galaxy S4 is a \”top-of-the-line Android smartphone\” with \”fantastic performance\” and a great display, but that it \”may not be innovative enough to convince Galaxy S III owners to upgrade.\”
