Hurricane Sandy may have caused Google to cancel its big New York event in which the search giant was set to unveil new devices and an update to its Android operating system, but that did not stop Google from outing the new devices and updates anyway.

Rumors and leaks had revealed all but the scantest details about the devices, which include a 10-inch Google Nexus tablet made my Samsung, a new 3G Nexus 7 tablet made by ASUS, and the latest Nexus smartphone, the Nexus 4 made by LG. All will ship with Android 4.2, which will still go by the same code name as its 4.1 predecessor, \”Jelly Bean\”, but will feature new keyboard functionality, expanded Google Now elements, and general performance boosts.

TabletPCReview and Brighthand have all the details, including more details on the Nexus 10, which has a higher screen resolution than the third- and fourth-generation iPads.
