When it comes to cloud storage services, consumers have an absolute wealth of options to choose from. There’s Dropbox, Box, SkyDrive, Google Drive, SugarSync, Cubby and dozens of others available, all of which come with their own set of pros and cons.
But when it comes to the enterprise, is there any cloud service that stands out as the best for business? That’s the question TechnologyGuide sister site SearchConsumerization recently asked through a comparison of perhaps the two most well-known cloud solutions: longtime champ Dropbox and relative newbie Google Drive.
As one would expect, both services have their ups and downs when it comes to business usage. Neither service is particularly adept at security, and at the end of the day, both offer relatively similar features. Dropbox wins out when it comes to third-party support and compatibility, but Google Drive is simpler and perfect for heavy Gmail users. Per usual, an enterprise will have to weigh its options when deciding between the two.
