Google Glass is set for release by the year’s end, but today the team behind the wearable computing project has clarified a nagging question many potential users have had about the device. As confirmed over at the Project Glass team’s Google+ page, Google Glass will indeed be compatible with prescription glasses. The Google+ post says that Glass is “modular,” which allows users to “to add frames and lenses that match [their] prescription.”
The news should ease the concerns of certain Google Glass buyers, but the post also notes that this customizable design for prescription eyewear isn’t ready for showtime just yet. The team says that it won’t be available when the initial Explorer Edition of the Google Glass launches, but that it should be good to go sometime before the end of the year nonetheless.
