Google Now, Google’s digital personal assistant and rival to Apple’s Siri, is getting updated to include more cards for travel plans and entertainment events.
The tech giant detailed a variety of new info cards that are rolling out to the app in a Google+ post late last night. A new car rentals card will automatically bring up reservation details and directions to the nearest rental facility, for one, while a concert ticket card will bring up your tickets once you get closer to a particular show’s venue.
Google says that it has improved Now’s public transit card to include the departure times for the last train or bus to your listed home as well, and it notes that you’ll be able to inform others that you are on your way to a particular place right from the app.
Other new features include the ability to inform you when a particular artist or show gets a new release, the ability to tell you what music and news items are playing on whatever TV show you’re watching, and the ability to see live scores for your preferred NCAA football team.
Google says that all of these updates are being rolled out to the Google Search app for devices running Android 4.1 and up. The company did not give a timeframe for when they’ll come to iOS, but we’ve reached out for clarification and will update if we hear back.
