Google Reveals Stock Android Version of Samsung Galaxy S4

by Reads (92)

In a surprise move, Google and Samsung have teamed up to release a new version of the Galaxy S4 that ditches Samsung’s TouchWiz interface and instead runs stock Android Jelly Bean.

\"SamsungGoogle revealed the device at its I/O conference today, noting that the phone will sport 16 GB of expandable storage and work on AT&T and T-Mobile’s LTE networks. Google says that it will be regularly updating the handset too.

It’ll cost a pretty penny at $650 unlocked, but anyone who thinks their S4 would be best served without its usual UI – a not-insignificant amount of people – should take note on June 26, when Google will start selling the device directly from Google Play.
