Google Search App for iOS Gets Notifications, Reminders, Cards, and More

by Reads (414)

Google released an updated version of its iOS Search app, bringing new features to Apple users.

Google Now received the bulk of the updates including notifications, reminders, new cards, and hands-free voice capabilities. The update brings nearly all the Google Now features to iOS users.

Notifications now prompt users when they should leave to make an appointment or catch a flight, without opening the app first. With reminders, users can give verbal commands, asking the app to remind them when a new episode of their favorite TV show airs, when a musicians album will be released, and more. With cards, Google Now can show a user their tickets for an event, boarding passes, reservations, transit alerts, and local happenings.

The new features are available through a free update to the Google Search app via the Apple App Store.
