As previously promised, the LG Optimus G Pro is officially coming to America – and it’ll be exclusively on AT&T when it gets here. The big blue carrier today announced that it will begin selling the big-screened phablet on May 10 for $200 and a two-year contract. Those especially eager to get their hands on LG’s newest flagship can pre-order the Optimus G Pro from AT&T’s website on May 3.
The Optimus G Pro looks to be LG’s answer to the success of longtime rival Samsung’s Galaxy Note II. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2 GB of RAM, Android 4.1.2, 13-megapixel and 2.1-megapixel cameras, 32 GB of expandable storage and a meaty 3140 mAh battery.
This is certainly a high-powered machine, but whether or not it can build enough buzz to rival other new Android phones like the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One remains to be seen. If nothing else, it’ll provide another alternative in the ever-growing phablet market.
