MapMyFitness has announced two-way compatibility with UP, the wristband fitness tracker from Jawbone that tracks user fitness throughout the day. Now users can sync workout data between their MapMyFitness and UP accounts, and vice versa.
By linking an UP account to a MapMyFitness account, users can get a comprehensive view of their fitness in one location. MapMyFitness will even convert a day’s amount of steps, logged by the UP wristband, into a single walk workout. MapMyFitness has also included support for Nike+ Fuelband, which tracks a user’s fitness all day long, similar to the Jawbone UP.
Now users will have more options to track specific workout data from the MapMyFitness interface, which also includes social networking features, with the added convenience of tracking day to day fitness with a Jawbone UP or Nike+ Fuelband.
