Nike announced its new Nike+ Fuelband SE today, boasting most of the same features as the past model, but with a new design and improved specs.
The Fuelband SE is available in multiple colors, but the design remains mostly the same as the last model. It also features Bluetooth 4.0 for a better connection to mobile devices, and a more water resistant design. However, Nike did not offer data on exactly how water resistant. As with the previous model, the Fuelband SE is only compatible with iOS devices.
Nike also introduced an updated Nike+ system that the company states it has been working on for over a year. The system includes a refined algorithm that will deliver more accurate data on a user’s daily activity levels.
The new Nike + ecosystem includes the new FuelBand SE, as well as the Nike+ Moves app, which was released with the iPhone 5S. The app utilizes the M7 chip in the iPhone 5S to save on battery life while tracking a user’s exercise.
The Nike+ Fuelband SE will be available starting November 6 for $149, and users can pre-order the device as of today.
