Samsung showed off its newest refrigerator with touch screen capabilities, the Samsung T9000 LCD Four-Door Refrigerator, at CES 2013 this week.
The T9000 LCD will be the second Samsung refrigerator to host a LCD touchscreen, but will have some key advantages over its predecessor, the RF4982. The T9000 will feature a 10-inch LCD touch screen, up from the 8-inch display in the RF4982. But most notable is the integration with Evernote, an app that allows consumers to share photos, videos and recipes with family and friends.
The Evernote app will allow users to pull up and manage a shopping list or look up recipes all while sifting through the refrigerator. The T9000 LCD will also feature calendar and weather apps among others.
The LCD version of the refrigerator is on display only at CES and a release date and price are unknown at the time of this writing. The appliance sans LCD, which features 32 cubic-feet of food storage in a four-door format as well as Samsung’s Triple Cooling system, will be available in late spring 2013 for $3,999 USD at the time of this writing.
