Samsung strategy chief Young Sohn displayed new technology in the future of wearable tech at the MobileBeat conference in San Francisco on Tuesday. The video demonstrated a patch sensor that monitors the user’s health quickly and painlessly.
The video shows a woman instantly uploading her health readings to her doctor. The doctor then determines if the patient should head into the office for an appointment or not. It also showed off a seemingly futuristic smartphone that folded out to what resembles a thin and sleek phablet. The device was then folded down to the size of the standard smartphone.
Samsung made it clear that the company feels the future of wearables is around the corner, with devices already being integrated into watches, glasses, clothing, and more. The company has also been rumored to be working on a smart watch and we have already seen wearable tech from Google with its Google Glass.
