Sony Still Releasing Walkman MP3 Players?

Sony has announced a line of MP3 players with the familiar Walkman name. The NWZ-E580 will feature an aluminum casing, a 2-inch color screen, 16GB of storage, and a 77 hour battery life. The NWZ-E380 will be equipped with a smaller screen, 8GB of storage, and a battery life of 33 hours.


Both models will be compatible with Windows Explorer and iTunes and will also have a built in FM radio. The MP3 players will also feature Clear Phase.DSEE Sound Enhancement, which compensates for frequency lost in compressed digital files. Sony has also included Virtualphones Technology, which allegedly delivers the effect of being at a club or sound studio.

The Walkman NWZ-E380 will come in blue, red, and black and will be available in the UK this month. The NWZ-E580 is coming in August and will be available in the color black. No word yet on pricing for either device.
