Toshiba enters the audio game with three models of soundbars for the coming year. Their top level SBX4250 at $329.99 is a solid 2.1 system with a wireless subwoofer, a good set of inputs on the back, and Bluetooth capabilities for wireless streaming from a smartphone, laptop, or other suitable device.
If physical space is at a real premium, Toshiba makes the Mini 3D soundbar (PA5075U) for $179.99 with a wired compact subwoofer. At less than 12-inches long and 4-inches high, this is a good option for those whose PC setup is their primary movie theater.
Bluetooth capabilities are on board, but connectivity is limited to analog RCA and 3.5 mm inputs, and coaxial and optical digital inputs. Meeting the needs of the entry-level consumer is the SBX1250 at $149.99 with integrated subwoofer and the same input options as its Mini 3D brethren but minus the Bluetooth option.
