In terms of performance, SSDs surpass traditional hard drives in every measurable way. That includes sustained read and write speeds up to 200% faster when compared with traditional hard drives and sub-millisecond latency.

To illustrate this, DTR cites Photoshop, a resource-intensive application that typically takes several seconds or longer to load. With an SSD, the application launches almost as soon as the user clicks the icon.
