CleanMyDrive is a free application for Apple\’s Mac OS X, which cleans up external drives, riding them of unnecessary files and freeing up storage space. It is an easy to navigate application, which offers a simple way to quickly eliminate unwanted files on external drives, USB drives, or mass storage devices.

\"CleanMyDrive\"

NotebookReview found CleanMyDrive to be especially useful for anyone unfamiliar with Macs, \”Old Mac pros might find it superfluous, but speaking as a \’PC\’ who has been using a Mac for just a year-and-a-half, I found it to be very worthwhile.\” Testers reported it was easy to use and while not very versatile, it does what it is supposed to do well. The name is slightly misleading and somewhat implies that it will clean up the Mac\’s hard drive, but that duty falls to the CleanMyMac application.

CleanMyDrive is a simple application but it does what it is supposed to do, clears external hard drive devices of extraneous files that take up precious space. For anyone who is unfamiliar with a Mac, NBR states that it is a useful application for those who find Finder cumbersome. While it may not be the best application for tried and true Mac users, it certainly has its place for those who are new to Macs or want a simple app to tidy up their storage devices.
