SugarSync offers a feature heavy application for those looking for cross platform cloud storage. It is available on Microsoft Windows, Apple MacOSX, iOS, Android OS, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, and Symbian phones. The demand for cloud storage is growing, and there are many competitive options currently on the market. Sugarsync seems to meet its competition with a feature heavy interface; however, it may be at the cost of functionality.

With SugarSync, users can sync files from their computer into the cloud, and can then access the cloud from their mobile device as well as other authorized computers. There are multiple options to copy files into the cloud, and users can set up automatic syncing of their mobile photos to ensure they are backed up. Users can email themselves links to files they have stored on SugarSync, even if it is on a different synced device or computer. Recipients of these links can download the photo or document, making sharing photos and files a breeze.

BrightHand found the app occasionally experienced delays and would sometimes go as far as crashing. However, it is a useful way to store files across platforms and devices, but that convenience can also cause confusion. Reviewers stated \”The biggest drawback to SugarSync is an ironic one. Because of these very features and capabilities, and the fact that these vary across platforms, it\’s sometimes a challenge to understand exactly what\’s happening across your multiple synchronized devices.\” Overall, it is a solid program for anyone who needs cloud storage on multiple platforms.
