One of my favorite things to do on a rainy day is to watch movies. It’s cliché I know, but it’s something I really enjoy, especially on a weekday. It reminds me of when I was \"balancinglenovo\"younger and would stay home from school sick. I would get lost in a Spielberg or Scorsese narrative, all the while occasionally looking at the clock and thinking what class I would normally be in. I am definitely going to miss that freedom when I finally transition into real adulthood – but in the meantime I am going to enjoy it while I can.

Today was one of those days. It was raining on and off all day, with humidity so bad I wouldn\’t dare step outside for fear that my hair would immediately take on its own life form. Instead, I decided it was the perfect time to catch up on some movies I never had the chance to see. And with the help of Netflix and my Yoga convertible, I was able to do so.

The first film on my agenda was Trainspotting. Despite my love for Ewan McGregor, I never saw this movie, likely because I was five when the film first came and a story about the Edinburgh drug scene isn\’t exactly toddler material. With my Yoga in stand mode, I was able to adjust the display for the perfect viewing angle, without worrying about the keyboard obstructing my view. Combined with the convertible’s great screen resolution, the picture was crisp and never pixelated, allowing for a very enjoyable viewing.\"Movie

After taking a quick lunch break, I was on to my next movie: Blue Valentine. In an attempt to make myself feel like less of a bum, I relocated to the living room. Truthfully, this decision was mostly in part to the fact that I wanted to watch Ryan Gosling on a larger screen. This was incredibly easy to do thanks to the Yoga’s HDMI port. With the help of my roommate’s HDMI cable, I was eye-to-eye with the adorable Mr. Gosling in no time.

Once I recovered from the emotional blow Derek Cianfrance had dealt me, I decided my lazy day was over. It was a success overall, but perhaps the best part of my movie marathon was that I didn\’t have to get up for my charger once, as the Yoga was still running strong after almost four hours of video playtime – and yes that is a priority in my life!

Now I definitely know what device I will be watching the new season of Arrested Development on!
