Don’t call it an RT tablet! Microsoft shed the “RT” designation for the follow up to the Surface RT, the Microsoft Surface 2. But, at a glance, you’d be forgiven for mistaking the two. While the new Surface 2 is a different color than the original, it maintains an almost identical design, with one exception. The kickstand now kicks out at two degrees, making it more suitable for literal lap usage.
Most other upgrades can be found inside the Surface 2, including a new Nvidia Tegra 4 processor, and full HD 1920×1080 display. Of course, it still runs Windows RT, and is one of the only new devices on the market sporting Microsoft’s answer to the tablet operating system.
